Bernice Barker White, 78, of 2218 Ladoga Rd, died Saturday morning in Houston Health Care Center. She was a graduate of Marshall HS and attended Central Normal College and Madam Blaker's School. She was a school teacher. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, Whitesville Christian Circle, Mt. Tabor Club, S. Union Home Economics Club and Auxillary of WWI Barracks. Mrs. White was born near Bloomingdale on January 26, 1901, a daughter of Samuel and Nancy Beeson Barker. She married Fred White, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marianne) Moon of Bright (IN) a brother, Stephen K. Barker of Crawfordsville; and three granddaughters, Mrs. Diana East and Susan Moon of Chattanooga, Tenn and Amy Moon of Bright. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wed. in Powers Funeral Home with the Rev. Larimore K. Wickett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cem. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Berniece B. WHITE of Crawfordsville, age 78, died Sat. December 15 in Huston Health Care Center at Crawfordsville. She was born at Marshall, January 26, 1901, the daughter of Samuel & Nancy Beeson Barker. The widow of Fred M. White, she taught school in Montgomery County for several years. Mrs. White attended HS in Marshall and Central Normal at Danville. She was a member of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church in Crawfordsville; Whitesville Christian Circle; South Union Home EC Club and WWI Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marianne Moone of Bright; a brother, Steven Barker of Crawfordsville; and 3 grandchildren. Fun. services were held this morning (Wednesday) at Powers Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Larrimore Wickett officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery Crawfordsville.   -
